Back in 2021, I was running my own Amazon business — moving Stanley cups by the pallet — while working full-time in accounting during busy season. I felt the whiplash of managing ecommerce finances and business growth at the same time, firsthand.
When it came down to it, I kept my accounting career, but I wasn't ready to walk away from the ecommerce world. So I started helping other sellers with their books: 9-to-5 in traditional accounting, 5-to-9 supporting marketplace entrepreneurs.
What I found was a real gap. Sellers needed accounting and tax help from someone who actually understood their business model — not a generalist translating an Amazon settlement report for the first time. My background gave me both sides: technical accounting expertise and the lived experience of actually running a store.
